Sellty is operated by Chaze Digital ("we", "us").
Sellty collects only what it needs to turn your photos into listings and post them to the marketplaces you connect. We do not sell your data and we don't use third-party advertising SDKs. If you joined the waitlist on our website before the app was out, see “The waitlist page” below. That is collected before you have an account, so it is described separately.
Before the app is out you can join the waitlist on our website. You don't need an account, and that form is the only thing we collect from you:
Every waitlist email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and using it does not cost you the free months. To have your address deleted outright, email support@sellty.app.
Photos you capture are uploaded to our backend and analyzed by an AI vision model to draft your listing. They may also be sent to a marketplace when you choose to publish.
When you help the app identify an item, you can describe it out loud instead of typing. Your speech is turned into text by your device's own speech recognition (Google on Android, Apple on iOS), and Sellty receives only that text, which you can read and edit before it is used. We do not keep or upload an audio recording of your voice. The microphone is used only while you are actively dictating, and only after you grant the microphone permission, which you can revoke at any time in your device settings.
We never sell or rent your email address, and the email we send carries no tracking pixels and no click-tracking redirects. Links go where they say they go.
We rely on service providers for the purposes below. Each processes data solely to provide that service, under its own terms, and we do not share your data with third parties for their own advertising or marketing.
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Backend infrastructure | Authentication and photo storage. |
| AI-based image analysis | Analyzes your photos to draft a listing. |
| IP-based approximate location | Approximate location from your IP address, only when precise location isn't available. |
| Error monitoring | Crash and error diagnostics, with identifiers and sensitive values scrubbed. |
| App-usage analytics | Account-linked screens, actions, feature results, errors, timing, and basic device and app details, to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. No photos, listing content, marketplace credentials, or payment details. |
| Email delivery | Delivering the sign-in, service and product-news email described above. |
| Google Play Billing (Android), the App Store (iPhone) and our subscription management platform | Subscription purchases and entitlements. |
| eBay | Publishing and managing listings on your eBay account, at your direction. |
| Facebook (Meta) | Posting listings to Facebook Marketplace on your behalf, at your direction. |
| Poshmark | Posting listings to Poshmark on your behalf, at your direction. |
| Depop | Posting listings to Depop on your behalf, at your direction. |
The Android and iPhone apps use the same error-monitoring and app-usage analytics providers, and send them the same kinds of data.
Data is encrypted in transit. Sensitive marketplace credentials (the eBay refresh token on our server, and your automation-marketplace sessions on your device) are stored encrypted at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Sellty is not directed to children and is intended for people old enough to hold marketplace and payment accounts. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your listings and photos remain until you delete them. Disconnecting a marketplace removes the stored credential for it. Logging out ends your session on the device. When signed in, you can permanently delete your account and everything tied to it (drafts, photos, listings, connected marketplace credentials, and account-linked app-usage analytics) in-app from Account → Delete account. Listings already published to a connected marketplace stay on that account and must be ended there by you. Deleting your account does not cancel a paid Sellty subscription either. Google Play or the App Store keeps charging until you cancel it there yourself.
Three email records deliberately outlive a deleted account, and none can be used to contact you. If you joined the waitlist, we keep that email address so the free months cannot be claimed twice by leaving and rejoining, and it is marked unsubscribed the moment you delete. If an email to you ever bounced or you marked one as spam, we keep the address on a do-not-email list, because forgetting it is how someone who asked us to stop starts hearing from us again. If removing a spam-complaint block from our email provider has not succeeded yet, we also keep the address only until that removal succeeds, so deleting an account cannot erase the retry and leave the same address unable to receive a future sign-in link. Email support@sellty.app to have these records removed outright.
A temporary allowance record also deliberately outlives a deleted Free account after it has received a scan. It contains only the secret-keyed identity fingerprint, that UTC calendar month's delivered Free-scan count, and the exact month boundary when it expires (never your email address, provider account identifier, or Sellty account ID). A recreated account with the same sign-in identity starts with that consumed count. The record stops affecting scans at the start of the next UTC calendar month and an automatic hourly purge removes it within one hour after that boundary.
While deletion is in progress, a separate short-lived transition record prevents a scan from racing the deletion. It contains the same fingerprint, a random request generation, the delivered-scan snapshot and exact UTC allowance window, the Sellty account ID only while that account still exists, and start and lease-expiry times. Duplicate requests for the same account reuse that snapshot. The server renews the lease before each bounded account-deletion operation; successful deletion removes the account ID and normally removes the whole transition immediately when the allowance record is finalized. If the process is interrupted or an account-deletion result remains uncertain, the transition stops blocking scans no later than two minutes after its last server renewal. If deletion later succeeds, the next same-identity scan or deletion attempt, or the automatic hourly purge, finalizes the saved snapshot exactly once before removing the expired transition. An expired transition whose account still exists is removed without creating an allowance record. The hourly purge removes expired transition residue within one hour.
We may update this policy as the app changes: new marketplaces, new features. When we do, the updated policy appears here and in the app, with a new date at the top. Continuing to use Sellty after a change means you accept the updated policy.
For privacy questions, email support@sellty.app. You can permanently delete your account and its ordinary data in-app at any time from Account → Delete account. See “Retention and deletion” above for the limited records that outlive it. To request deletion or read more, see https://sellty.app/delete-account.
TL;DR: Account deletion removes ordinary account data; a temporary unreadable fingerprint carries that UTC month's delivered Free scans until its next month boundary so deleting and recreating cannot reset the allowance.
